Kristina Korsholm is a Danish born, theater trained actress and writer, who grew up between Denmark and New Mexico. During the early years she did school theater, danced, played and sang in various bands in- and outside of school. During college she signed with Elite Models and began traveling the world as a fashion model. Her model career propelled her into many high profile magazines such as Vogue Italia, ELLE, Bazaar, Night Magazine. She is a European style icon, having been called ‘The Danish It-Girl’ by Bazaar Magazine and Cosmopolitan Magazine nominated her ‘Globetrotter of the Year’ in their ‘Fearless Female Awards’. Early on in her career she hosted 3 weekly live shows on ZTV “Greatest Hits” and Fax God it’s Friday!” She was part of the production team on the award winning TV documentaries “Wonderkids”.
As an author she has two published book under her belt, the latest “NYC – Head over High Heels.
During her modeling career she fell in love with New York and in 2005 she made the city her home when she joined the William Esper Acting Studio in 2005.
In Europe she’s known for her work as a series regular playing “Sugar Sweet” in the Scandinavian drama series “The Team”, where she plays opposite Lars Mikkelsen. She is featured in Amazon Prime comedy “1st Born”, starring Tom Berenger and 2020 will see her star as both ‘Marilyn’ and ‘Baby Girl’ in “Lionesse”. A short film she co-wrote and co-produce with Space Rocket Nation.
Today Kristina lives in Los Angeles. She is the co-owner of BonnaVedda Entertainment, a Los Angeles based Danish / American Film Production Company founded by Kristina and David Sakurai. As filmmakers, they have both been successful bridge builders in cross cultured productions in US, Europe and Asia and they work together with a solid network of innovative and seasoned international filmmakers. “I believe the story is ‘King’ and I want to tell stories that are so good they need to be told” Kristina says. Her primary focus now is on developing her acting career further and writing and producing screenplays for movies and TV.
Formal Education: She received her theatrical training in Copenhagen, at Ophelia Acting Studio and later with The William Esper Studio in NYC. She has a BA in Film & Media from Copenhagen University, a BA in journalism from University of Stockholm and she spent a semester studying directing and acting at UCLA.
