Shamaun Ahmed

Born and brought up in Kolkata, Shamaun started his career as a DJ when he was just a teenager. He later transitioned to modeling and trained as an actor with theatre director Ramanjit Kaur, followed by Santanu Bose of NSD, as well as a brief stint with Jayant Kripalani.

Shamaun has featured in over 50 regional & national ad films in India, working with reputed directors such as Ashim Ahluwalia, Oni Sen, Anik Dutta, Amit Sengupta, Anirudh Roy Chowdhury to name a few. Notable roles in Bengal include a cameo in National Award-winning director Bappaditya Bandhopadhyay’s ‘Elar Char Adhyay’ (2012), & a friendly appearance in Manoj Michigan’s ‘Damadol’ (2013). Shamaun took a brief sabbatical from acting, but returned with the short film ‘Identity’ (2015) in which he played the protagonist. Upcoming projects include the Netflix series ‘Bard of Blood’ (2019), starring Emraan Hashmi and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment.
