Roderick Gilkison

Roderick is a Scottish actor who began his career at aged 10 years as ‘Benji’ in the musical ‘Priscilla Queen of the Desert’ (2012) singing alongside Jason Donavon, where he toured 3 cities across Scotland. Dance trained, Roderick performed at the Theatre Royal in Matthew Bourne’s contemporary ballet ‘Lord of the Flies’ (2014). Roderick has also played central roles in BBC Radio 4 Classic Dramas ‘Cloud Howe’ (2014), ‘The Truth About Hawaii’ (2017) and ‘Virtually Me b)’ (2017).

As well as several Television roles, in 2017 he completed filming full-length feature ‘KEEPERS’ directed by Kristoffer Nyholm, with Peter Mullan and Gerard Butler at the Mull of Galloway, Scotland.

Roderick is the youngest member of the National Theatre of Scotland’s Year of the Young People (2018) steering group: ‘Future-Proof”.
