Bill Young is a busy Australian character actor who has worked consistently in film, television, stage, voice-over and as a producer/director since he entered the profession in 1975. Starting out life on a dairy farm, he moved into advertising while playing in that fabulously unsuccessful 1960s band “Distortion”, then found inspiration in the performing arts. After graduating he started his own successful pub theater specializing in comedy in all formats. He directed, performed, produced and did it all before directing the cult feature The Roly Poly Man (1994). Still hanging in there, he’s playing music, acting, writing . . . he’s still there!
Al was born in Chicago, and received three degrees in Theatre Arts: Loyola University of Chicago (BA), University of Kansas
